The Northwest Vista College Grants, Advancement and Community Development areas are committed to connecting or reconnecting you to the college. We believe alliances with you are a key to continuing student and institutional success in the future.

NVC Advancement and Community Development

Advancement and Community Development promotes understanding and investment in the mission, vision and values of Northwest Vista College among external constituencies.

Communications, community relations, resource development, alumni relations, scholarship coordination and partnership development are part of the work of the Advancement and Community Development area.


The Alamo Colleges Foundation (Alamo Colleges District), a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering for success the students and communities served by NVC and the Alamo Colleges District, seeks to attract philanthropic contributions and build relationships with the community.

Your involvement and participation in efforts to further strengthen NVC and the Alamo Colleges District is invited and encouraged.  Key focus areas of the Foundation include private fundraising, student scholarships, program support and alumni relations.  

College Grants

The mission of the College and Grants Development area is to support the faculty and staff of Northwest Vista College in identifying and securing external funding for projects that support student success and advance the strategic goals of the College.

The College and Grants Development area seeks to identify and cultivate external funding opportunities, provide guidance and assistance in the proposal development process, and monitor legislative initiatives.
